We are in need of projects for our SOWER Work Mission!  

Do you or someone you know need a building repair? To qualify for assistance there must be financial need, the person should own the home, the work environment must be safe, and there needs to be restroom facilities for the SOWERS. Please personally visit the applicant and receive their permission to submit an application. We try to stay within an hour radius of the Epworth Center, since our groups travel daily to and from the worksite. Generally we ask that referrals are received for the summer by April 1.  If it's after this date, you may submit the application, but it may not be considered until the following summer.  

We need both full-week and weekend jobs.  Building repairs considered include:

• one-story roofing 
• trailer roofing
• handicap accessible ramp construction
• porch repair / construction
• siding
• painting

After the form is submitted, our director and construction supervisor visits jobs we think our SOWERS may be able to complete.  We take pictures of the work needed and post them for our work groups to choose.  Not all applications are approved, and not all are chosen.
